Duties Description The Administrative Assistant 2 will work be assigned to the Office of Forensic Services (OFS). Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Director, as well as all other office staff, in the day-to-day operations of the unit.
• Maintain current knowledge of procurement and net card procedures. Preserve accurate inventory of supplies and follow proper procurement rules to order supplies as needed.
• Assist in coordinating logistics and travel for a wide range of meetings, trainings, and board meetings which are conducted year-round by OFS throughout the state. This includes creation, review, and processing of travel vouchers.
• Maintain communication with offices of Finance and Funding to stay abreast of guidance relating to office operations.
• Receive, track, and route all incoming and outgoing correspondence, as well as FOIL requests, which may be via postal mail, inter-agency mail, telephone, and email.
• Support the development and maintenance of office-wide tracking and filing systems. OFS is committed to transitioning toward paperless recordkeeping and the incumbent will be expected to assist in digitizing and organizing files.
• Ensure communication with OGS to maintain staff and visitor access to the building, verify access annually, and reserve available rooms as needed.
• Communicate with Admin Services regarding new employee information, building issues, incoming and outgoing mail, conference room reservations, printing services, and record management.
• Process and track SOECK and DNA kit orders.
• Additional duties and special projects may be assigned as necessary and appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications Permanent competitive service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a title SG-13 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law. A list of titles eligible for transfer may be found here:
