An employee with one-year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title allocated to Grade 7 or higher may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

*You will be required to pass a Civil Service Russian Language exam to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading Russian at a level that will ensure your ability to perform the duties of the position.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Senior Employment Security Clerk Russian Language, you would perform a variety of functions related to accepting, processing and certifying claims for unemployment insurance benefits. You would work continuously with the public contact; you would conduct telephone interviews with claimants to obtain detailed information quickly and efficiently identifying issues related to entitlement and eligibility for benefits. You would also respond to unemployment insurance inquiries and process claims related documents. You would also use computer terminals for input and retrieval of information.
