Duties Description The Registrations, Accounting and Support Bureau (RASB) is a bureau within the Office of Processing Services. This position may be assigned to one of various units within the bureau and would be responsible for processing taxpayer registrations, Power of Attorney (POA) documents, various account update transactions and deposit, payment and refund transaction resolutions.

TSR-2 Job Functions may include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise, plan, organize and adjust staff work assignments to avoid backlogs, meet deadlines, and monitor daily reports. Evaluate and monitor staff productivity, work performance and time and attendance using existing quality assurance procedures.
• Act in a calm, courteous and reasonable manner under very difficult, highly stressful and at times confrontational circumstances.
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers.
• Write performance evaluations and assist in counseling and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Provide formal classroom and on–the-job training to subordinate supervisors and staff.
• Evaluate and make oral and written reports and presentations to management regarding the work unit inventories and productivity.
• Provide supervisors and staff with technical assistance, guidance, and training on the methods and processes used to create, update, and correct taxpayer profiles and to process registration and power of attorney documents.
• Review tax form changes, system changes and policy directives to determine impact on operations and procedures, and report findings to unit management.
• Assist taxpayers or their representatives, by answering very complex and highly technical questions either on the phone or via written correspondence.
• Use the information retrieved from various departmental systems and software to enter data, gather information, produce reports, access files and databases.
• Effectively collaborate with counterparts or organizations both inside and outside of the Department.
• Identify trends, delays and problem areas from production reports and inform unit management of findings.
• Directly supervising, evaluating, and coaching of staff. Promoting the development of staff and educational opportunities.
Adhere to the Time and Attendance rules and regulations of the Department.
