Duties Description Under the general direction of the Deputy Commissioner for Technology, NS, within Sector C (Civil Service, Office of Employee Relations, and the Public Employment Relations Board) Dedicated Support Team, the Assistant Director Information Technology Services 1, M-4, will be the Director of Digital Transformation.

Specific duties shall include, but are not limited to:
•Define and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy and multi-year roadmap that aligns IT initiatives with overall organizational goals and statewide mandates.
•Lead the migration of legacy applications and infrastructure to modern, secure, and scalable solutions.
•Drive cultural shift and change management initiatives to help staff adapt to new digital tools, agile methodologies, and modern ways of working.
•Identify operational inefficiencies across departments and implement automation technologies.
•Partner closely with agency leadership, program directors, and external stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
•Ensure all new digital products and platforms comply with cybersecurity standards, data privacy regulations, and digital accessibility guidelines.
•Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing, cross-functional digital teams.
•Provide leadership and support for agencies supported by the ITS dedicated team.
•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.
