Duties Description Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the incumbent will supervise and direct contract development and management initiatives and manage cross-functional procurement IT teams to conduct procurements for high-volume, complex goods and services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Oversee, manage and approve a multi-million-dollar contract portfolio.
• Assist and guide teams in development and implementing assorted bid documents and requests (i.e. RFP, IFB, RFI, RFQ).
• Oversee status reporting and performance metrics of procurement activities.
• Oversee planning, management, and direction pertaining to the selection, negotiation, award, administration, and close-out of centralized procurement contracts and other agreements.
• Meet with high level executives in government and private sector to resolve disputes, issues, and render decisions as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a M-2 (SG-26/27) or above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
