Duties Description •Manage staff responsible for assisting a subset of agency divisions with procurements.
•Ensure contracts and procurement records are complete, in compliance with State Finance Law and relevant procurement rules, and ready for signature by the Division Director and review by the Attorney General and Office of the State Comptroller.
•Maintain cooperative working relationships with agency divisions, providing procurement guidance and training as necessary.
•Respond to questions and requests from the Attorney General and Office of the State Comptroller, and work cooperatively with them to resolve any concerns and advance agency procurements through the approval process.
•Serve as the Bureau of Contract & Grant Development procurement lead on particularly large, unique, and/or high-profile procurements and work collaboratively with project managers from the procuring divisions involved in that effort.
•Serve as a procurement advisory liaison as needed on collaborative IT procurement efforts.
•Lead other initiatives as assigned by supervisor based on the needs of the bureau and agency.
Minimum Qualifications Reassignment -
Currently in the title of Agency Supervisor Accounts and an employee of DEC or
Reinstatement Eligible -
Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.
Eligible for transfer under Section 52.6: Must have current or prior permanent service in a title designated as 52.6 and within two salary grades of this position.
Determination of titles that are 52.6 eligible can be found on the Department of Civil Service website, www.cs.ny.gov/ and search for your title under GOT-IT.
or Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 - one year of permanent competitive service as an Associate Accountant.
Additional Comments Telecommuting may be available up to 50% of work schedule, will be discussed at interview.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
