Duties Description • Actively participate in the ITS service delivery team.
• Develop expertise in DOCCS-specific Client Compute (WPS) needs.
• Supervise a team ITS 2 workplace services technicians.
• Work with colleagues to improve client agency service.
• Review and assign incident and request tickets in the ITSM system.
• Manage and direct staff in handling desktop support calls.
• Monitor ITSM work queues for timely resolution of client requests.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other regional areas.
• Install, load, and configure software and applications.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance to clients.
• Obtain base knowledge in the core products used by supported clients.
• Document diagnostic steps taken to resolve client issues.
• Work with other ITS groups to resolve computer-related issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot multi-function and network printers.
• Work with vendor support to resolve technical problems with agency IT equipment.
• Train and orient users on hardware and software.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties.
• Handle performance reviews, training, and team management.
Minimum Qualifications Technology Analyst 2 (All Parenthetics)
Six years* of information technology experience, one of which must be within the
appropriate specialty**.
*Substitutions: associate’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or
a related field substitutes for one year of general information technology experience.
Candidates in a bachelor’s degree program with at least 15 semester credit hours in
computer science or a related field can be credited with one year of general information
technology experience.
Bachelor’s degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in
computer science or a related field substitutes for three years of general information
technology experience. Any bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years of general
information technology experience.
Master’s degree or higher in computer science or related field substitutes for one
additional year of general information technology experience.
**Specialty includes experience within one or more of the following information
technology disciplines: artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, human centered design,
product management, quality assurance, rapid application development, robotic product
management, geospatial information services.

Additional Comments ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. It is the policy of ITS not to hire F1 or H1 visa holders for permanent employment or to sponsor non-immigrant aliens for temporary work authorization visas or for permanent residence.

If eligible, positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay with regular annual salary. Positions located in the Mid-Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
