Duties Description The selected candidate will join the Regional Road Crew under the direction of both the Maintenance Supervisor 1, SG-14 (Road Crew Maintenance Supervisor) and the Regional Park Maintenance Supervisor, SG-18. The primary work for this position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Using mowers and/or brush hogs to maintain vegetation within road rights-of-ways (ROW).
• Assisting Road Crew with road maintenance tasks as needed.
• Conducting routine maintenance on tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions.
• Performing daily tasks in adherence to the agency’s Code of Conduct Policy and ensuring compliance with all workplace safety standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum qualifications for this title per Civil Service.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
