Duties Description The Project Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following core responsibilities: Lead project oversight and coordination for the Medicaid Independent Assessor (IA) contract, including planning, procurement, implementation, monitoring, and performance tracking; Serve as the primary liaison with internal leadership and external stakeholders to ensure the IA program meets all operational, regulatory, policy, and quality benchmarks; Develop and present detailed reports, dashboards, and briefings on IA contract progress, challenges, and outcomes to executive leadership; Provide project oversight and support for additional initiatives such as the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program and Electronic Visit Verifications; Assist with resolving barriers to implementing new contracts, working with local social service districts to respond to questions and resolve issues they may have with current guidance and new programs, and working with stakeholders to ensure consumers are receiving necessary services; Monitor the impact new programs and changes may have on the Medicaid Long Term Care consumers and their care givers and working to resolve any potential areas of concern; Design and execute surveillance plans: analyzing CDPAS, 57 local district agency activities, and other LTC data; Conduct on-site and virtual certification surveys; identifying deficiencies; and recommending corrective and enforcement actions; Direct the development and refinement of financial analytics models and reimbursement rate methodologies for CDPAS providers and managed care plans; Prepare briefing materials—PowerPoints, policy memos, data dashboards—for executive staff related to BMLTCP programs.

Minimum Qualifications Nine (9) years of professional experience in the administration of progressively responsible experience in Medicaid policy, program implementation, or managed care operations; OR a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of the experience listed; OR an associate’s degree and seven (7) years of the experience listed.

Two years of the experience must have been at the supervisory level.

A master’s degree may substitute for one year of specialized professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, rate-setting model development, and execution of compliance surveys. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with experience representing an agency before the federal government, providers, and stakeholder groups. Project management skills, data informed decision-making, managing multiple competing priorities and working with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Additional Comments This position may require travel throughout New York State including overnights to areas not served by public transportation.
