Duties Description Duties of the Supervising Labor Services Representative (Spanish Language) include but are not limited to:

The administrative supervision of hearing staff.

Ensuring timely completion of PEP and evaluations for all staff.

Providing training to new and existing staff.

Ensuring hearing calendars are completed timely and according to weekly instruction provided by the judicial management.

Leading the intake and review team to ensure all cases are complete and accurate before being sent for hearing.

Minimum Qualifications Competitive Minimum Qualifications:

Note: To be considered for appointment you will be required to pass a Civil Service language exam to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading the Spanish language at a level that will ensure your ability to perform the duties of the position.

Reassignment Qualifications: (DOL EMPLOYEES ONLY)
Current Department of Labor employee with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a Supervising Labor Services Representative Spanish Language; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current eligible list for this location, if one exists.

70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in the following titles may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law:

Employment Counselor – Grade 18
Employment Counselor Spanish Language – Grade 18
Employment Services Representative – Grade 18
Investigative Officer 2 Unemployment Insurance – Grade 20
Senior Unemployment Insurance Hearing Representative – Grade 20
