Duties Description With executive staff direction, initiates and oversees the implementation of an ongoing Business Process Review (BPR) of NYSIF’s four core functions – Claims, Underwriting, Premium Audit, and Field Services. Coordinates the development of specific goals to improve IT systems and related business processes. Functions as the project point person for the development of implementation timetables and the prioritization of recommendations based upon the anticipated impact of proposed changes as well as the availability of resources. Implements and manages projects based on the philosophy of Lean Management across the organization focusing on eliminating waste, improving productivity and achieving sustained continual improvement. Oversees the use of common Lean Methods such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events and the 5S workplace organizational method.
Minimum Qualifications Reachable on current NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible List for this title; or, one year permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but are not limited to: Manager Information Technical Services 2 and Project Manager 4.
