Duties Description As a Bridge Repair Supervisor 2, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and scheduling the activities of the bridge repair crews. You would estimate materials, equipment, labor requirements, and prepare reports on programs and accomplishments. You may assist in condition inspections of bridges. You will be required to perform snow and ice control activities.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications
The selected candidate will serve the role in both Warren and Essex counties and may be working from either location as duties demand.

To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Candidates must possess a valid New York State Class A or Class B Commercial’s Driver’s License with no air brake restriction, at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter.
Appointees will be required to satisfactorily complete a “one-person plowing” certification program which the Department of Transportation will offer during the probationary period.

Additional Comments The starting salary for Bridge Repair Assistant is $72,136.00. This amount is comprised of the base salary of $63,136.00 with an additional geographic pay differential of $9,000.00, specific to this title and location.
