Duties Description This position resides on the Enterprise Service Delivery Team in the Bureau of Security & Workstation Delivery within the Chief Information Office.
• Leads Workstation Support and Management teams, ensuring service excellence and effective endpoint management.
• Aligns goals with CIO strategy, oversees projects, policies, and controls.
• Manages staffing, budgets, contracts, and risk.
• Promotes collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement while maintaining confidentiality and responsiveness across stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.


Transfer Options:
For 52.6 transfer to a(n) Manager of Information Technology Services 1 (SG-27), you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55-b/55-c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG-25 or above.

• Demonstrated experience in leading small teams (up to 49 staff) (More than 2 years to 5 years).
• Demonstrated experience in Technical Writing (More than 2 years to 5 years) including, but not limited to:
• Evaluation of written materials and specifications.
• Evaluation of proposals and statements of work.
• Standards and procedures, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), User Guides
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management (1 years to 2 years) including, but not limited to:
• Project Scheduling: Create and manage project schedule.
• Project Time Management: Define activities, sequence activities, estimate task resources, duration, and develop project schedule.
• Procurement Management: Managing contracts, procurements and vendors, including development of IFB and RFP and evaluation of proposals.

Telecommuting: The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where it is reasonable to do so based upon the agency’s mission and operational needs. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks.
