Duties Description PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and will need a working knowledge in Word, Adobe PDF, Excel, JSURS, MDW, and Access programs.



The incumbent of this position will perform tasks related to the Recipient Restriction Program (RRP) Upstate, Downstate, Managed Care, and the Health Benefit Exchange (HBE) within the Division of Medicaid Investigations (DMI). This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties to ensure RRP program integrity:

• Monitor and enforce Managed Care Organization (MCO) requirements regarding RRP by reviewing encounter data and monthly reports
• Maintain ongoing knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care Model Contract and NYS restriction regulations
• Schedule and execute frequent MCO outreach including individual plan meetings, large group meetings, and training.
• Provide MCO subject matter expert insight to other OMIG units or outside agencies
• Facilitate all communications between MCOs and OMIG RRP
• Coordinate, assign and supervise all tasks regarding restriction implementation and maintenance
• Address a high volume of daily RRP communications
• Update and maintain standard operating procedure manual for implementation and maintenance of restrictions.
• Supervise and train members of the implementation team

Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2, OR be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent services in a title deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Additional Comments Permanent, Competitive, full-time. There will be minimal mandatory overtime.
