Duties Description PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal/written communication, analytical, and organizational skills; knowledge and experience with excel and access; strong attention to detail.
The Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2 will serve as a supervisor in the Division of Medicaid Investigations overseeing the Division’s Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse complaint intake unit. The supervisor will have the following primary responsibilities:
• Supervise approximately four Medicaid Integrity Specialist 1s and one Program Aide.
• Manage the workflow for all complaints received to ensure appropriate case preparation and processing.
• Correspond by phone and in writing with complainants, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the opening of cases in the electronic case tracking system.
• Track information for reporting purposes.
• Draft, implement, and maintain unit policies and procedures outlining work instructions for all aspects of unit functions.
Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2, OR be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent services in a title deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Additional Comments Permanent, Competitive, full-time. There will be minimal mandatory overtime.
