Duties Description Under the direction of Director of Agronomy at Bethpage State Park, the selected candidate will be engaged in the administration and coordination of the following duties, tasks and/or activities at the golf facilities at Bethpage while also assisting when required/requested at the golf facilities at Sunken Meadow State Park, Montauk Downs State Park and Robert Moses State Park.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assists with & oversees purchasing for golf specific state bids such as pesticides, fertilizers, and grass seed
• Assists in creating and processing procurement contracts for Bethpage State Park, Montauk Downs State Park and Sunken Meadow State Park’s supplies such as topsoil, sand, and sod
• Coordinates the reconciling of P-Card receipts
• Liaises with and coordinates volunteer staffing for professional golf championships, including but not limited to: PGA of America, PGA Tour, USGA Met PGA, AJGA, MGA and NCAA tournaments. Includes assisting 50+ volunteers with necessary requirements for work, uniforms, food service, hotel stay, access badges where necessary
• Assists Golf Course Superintendent in coordinating, tracking and soliciting sponsor donations and processing through NHT.
• Coordinates deliveries of various golf specific supplies to park maintenance with vendors and superintendent, reconcile shipping tickets with purchasing.
• Assists maintenance employees with completion & accurate submission of LATS timecards
• Monitors and tracks compliance for state mandated trainings, employee health exams, CPR First Aid classes, Game of Logging, etc.
• Prepares & assists new employees with hiring packets; completes seasonal roll-overs and terminations
• Schedules safety training classes for staff. Prepare forms & training data sheets for scheduled classes, forwards records of completed training to regional safety office
• Answers the phone, maintains files, compiles annual reports, and delivers inter-office mail
• Supervises staff in office with all duties listed above
• Operates light trucks, passenger vehicles, and other vehicles as required
• Carries out other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of full-time experience in an organized recreation program, one (1) year of which must have been supervisory.

*If verifiable, we will accept and prorate appropriate part-time and volunteer experience

Additional Comments OPERATING NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience using SLMS, BETS, LATS, HRIS, SFS, and Visage Golf GPS Management preferred.
