Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill a Trades Generalist position within the Administrative Support Services Group located in Albany. This position is part of the Bureau Central Office Operations Support Services team, which is responsible for oversight and coordination of OMH capital projects, fleet services, Nutrition, safety & security, environmental services, plant operations, maintenance contracts, real & Surplus property and the revitalization program.
Specific duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provide Operational support at 44 Holland, 150 Broadway & CDPC and other locations as required
• Report Building related deficiencies to Supervisor and/or building management
• Monitor & Respond to emails in a timely fashion
• Analyze Data regarding space needs for 44 Holland (Central Office), 150 Broadway & CDPC as assigned
• Assist in the coordination & Physical movement of staff within Central office, 150 broadway, & CDPC as assigned
• Oversee Vendor furniture installation plans
• Install & Perform Furniture Modifications as assigned.
• Monitor Inventory items and provide supervisor monthly reports
• Install / Repair furniture as requested
• create preliminary floor plans in AutoCAD as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications This is a labor class position. Trades Generalist must have four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled journey level worker which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship training in a trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses in a trade at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license is preferred, but not required.
