Duties Description NYS DMV is looking for a dynamic creative services professional who is excited to shatter perceptions of the DMV through compelling Video content. This position is part of a small production team that works to elevate the agency’s presence on social media, build awareness of the agency’s key initiatives through multi-media marketing campaigns, and support the agency’s operations through the production of videos & social media marketing materials.

Duties include but not limited to:
• Write or review quote requests and invitation for bids for print, web site, or multimedia service contracts and purchases
• Answer vendor questions regarding contract specifications
• Confer with multimedia service providers to ensure projects meet desired specifications and deadlines
• Review and approve hardware and software solutions proposed by staff, or suggest alternatives as necessary
• Examine outside vendor proofs for accuracy and completeness
• Develop test scenarios and data, and review test results to assess oversee project concept development, timelines, and strategy
• Create and review preliminary scripts for multimedia productions
• Schedule and coordinate dates with staff and talent
• Direct, schedule and supervise the editing of projects
• Oversee marketing strategies for all assigned multimedia discipline areas
• Create quotes and invitations for bids to obtain quotes from outside multimedia vendors.

Qualifications:
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Strong Adobe Premiere Pro Skills encouraged
• Strong Film or Video skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Positivity and willingness to collaborate with clients and team members
• Willingness to travel
• Experience with digital photography is a plus

Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for the Multimedia Production Program Specialist 2, G-23 position, you must meet one of the following conditions:

NY HELPS*: Seven years of experience producing multimedia communication projects using elements of audiovisual production, or graphic design for web, or graphic design for print.

Substitution: A bachelor degree in video and/or TV and/or film production, web interface design, graphic design, communications design, or a closely related field may substitute for four years of experience.

*This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means NO EXAMINATION IS REQUIRED, but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.

At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE A CIVIL SERVICE TEST. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.

Additional Comments Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.
