Duties Description Under the general direction of the Associate Director Human Resources 1, M1, the incumbent will supervise staff and assist in the coordination of staffing, the classification and compensation program and examination planning program for specific Board program areas.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Supervises and trains office staff in all personnel functions including recruitment, preparation of transactions, classification and staffing in accordance with CS Law, applicable rules, regulations and directives.

• Communicates and advises program managers on applicable laws, rules, directives or negotiated agreements.

• Performs a variety of recruitment and staffing activities for assigned program area(s) to provide program managers with a qualified candidate pool.

• Assists program supervisors in the development of performance, probation evaluations and IDP programs.

• Serves as liaison with the BSC.

• Conducts research and analysis to develop clear, concise agency requests for classification actions – classification, reclassification, reallocation, and earmark release. Reviews tentative Civil Service Classification Standards.

• Conducts research and pre-scope meeting and represents WCB at scope conferences.

• Participates in any relevant training opportunities, including webinars, training offered by GOER, CS, IPMA or Personnel Council. Completes all WCB on-line mandatory training as it becomes available.

• Perform other human resources functions as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list.

OR

Candidates must have one year permanent or 55 b/c service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
