Duties Description The incumbents of these positions will work in the Licensing Section of the Operations Unit and will process licensing applications and renewals and answer basic questions related to the licensing application process. The incumbents will review applications to verify authenticity, acceptability and accuracy of documents submitted. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Answer written, telephone, or face-to-face questions related to the licensing process and requirements for prospective applicants and the general public.
• Review applications for completeness and follow up with applicants to correct any deficiencies.
• Elevate questionable applications or documents to a supervisor or appropriate unit area.
• Read and interpret rules and regulations governing the license and issuance process.
• Search records to determine the license status and history of individuals and corporations. Provide information to applicants as requested.
• Assist applicants in completing and submitting applications.
• Electronically preserve documentary records as needed; maintain records for the required retention periods and then purge outdated records.
• Complete other special tasks, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience requirements.
NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES ALONG WITH THE HOURS PER WEEK FOR EACH POSITION LISTED.
