Minimum Qualifications Must be matriculated in a post-secondary institution and enrolled or have completed coursework in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Transcripts showing the name of your college or university, current academic status, coursework and GPA are required for appointment.
Duties Description You will cross match historical unemployment insurance claims information from the Department’s Data Warehouse with data elements used by a contractor hired to provide a predictive model to detect unemployment insurance fraud. You will test the accuracy of the scores assigned by the predictive model; draw conclusions based on the analysis of the cross match; present findings to supervisors; gather findings and feedback from subject matter experts; and analyze the subject matter experts’ input to provide recommendations and suggestions to modify the predictive model to make it more effective.
Additional Comments Student Assistant will work 15 hours per week at the hourly rate of $21.34.
