Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Managers the maintenance/security aide will be responsible for protecting the property, buildings, and site during overnight hours. Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Patrolling the park grounds and facilities.
• Securing the park gates and buildings.
• Respond to any incidents that occur.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order on the property.
• Maintain logs and documentation of any incidents or unusual activity that occurs.
• Assist with evacuations or other emergency procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with Park Police and other site staff to ensure the safety and security of the visitors and properties.
Minimum Qualifications No Minimum Qualifications per Civil Service.

Additional Comments Operational Needs:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to walk and stand for an undetermined amount of time
- Candidate must have the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must be able to communicate orally with other staff and park patrons; and to communicate in writing and read and comprehend written material.
- This position requires the candidate to be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to keep current on all mandated safety trainings including First Aid and CPR/AED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A NYS Security Guard License is preferred but not required.
