Duties Description Fredonia's Campus Life Office seeks qualified candidates for a full-time, 12-month, Office Assistant 2, SG9, administrative support position. Working in a team-oriented environment and utilizing a working knowledge and understanding of SUNY and campus policies and procedures, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties that are not limited to, but will include the following:

-Serve as the first point of contact for Campus Life visitors by providing professional and courteous assistance to students, clubs, staff, faculty, and community members/partners.
-Schedule campus-wide reservations for the Williams Center, Thompson Hall, Fenton Hall, McEwen Hall and outdoor spaces.
-Manage office budget and track revenue/expenditures for the Williams Center student union operations.
-Create, track and process billing statements for clubs, departments and community clients utilizing the Williams Center services.
-Manage office purchasing, inventory of office supplies and storeroom organization.
-Assist with day-to-day Williams Center Operations including space management, opening building, basic AV event assistance, event set-up & teardown scheduling and facility maintenance requests.
-Support hiring, onboarding, and time & attendance processes for Campus Life student employees.
-Assist with scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes for Campus -Life/committees and proofreading reports/campus correspondence.
-Support other units in clerical duties such as, but not limited to, processing invoices, maintaining records/spreadsheets, maintaining files, and responding to inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of experience where most work time is spent performing mathematical operations, and/or clerical activities related to mathematical operations.

COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in a title SG-7 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.

Additional Comments The Campus Life office supports and provides leadership for student activities and the Williams Center Student Union. With 130 clubs on campus, Campus Life assists clubs with planning/implementing events and leadership development. Campus Life works closely with the Student Association in an advisory capacity to support the campus' vibrant club life. The office oversees Greek Life, Family & Friends weekend, Activities Night, Commencement, Welcome Weeks, campus room reservations, and the student union operation, which hosts many large events and conferences.
The hiring salary for an SG 09 is $42,641 annually. This is a full-time, 12-month, probationary/permanent, day shift position that is represented by CSEA.
