Duties Description The Office of Public Safety (OPS) is seeking a student assistant to support the Law Enforcement Strategic Assistance (LESAU) unit. The handling of these tasks will help the student gain professional skills while assisting OPS with special projects.
The Student Assistant will assist with duties including, but not limited to:
• Supporting and advancing contracts and procurement operations.
• Coordinating and corresponding with internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Preparation and development of contract and procurement documentation.
• Monitoring the status of contract and procurement actions.
• Maintaining and updating internal tracking systems and agendas on contract and procurement progress.
• Develop reference materials and documentation to support the unit.
Minimum Qualifications Must be a current student enrolled in a matriculating degree program and have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would possess:
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Being a self-starter and quick learner
• Basic data tracking and record-keeping skills
