Duties Description • Ensure all print requests are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
• Operate digital high-volume print production machines.
• Perform bindery work and operate various print shop equipment including folding machine, cutter, drill, collator, and shrink wrapper.
• Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office Suite and various program specific applications.
• Pull supplies from stock and track inventory for print jobs.
• Apply customer service skills and be able to work as a team.
• Interact with colleagues, customers, and vendors in a professional manner.
• Perform basic maintenance on copy machines and request support as needed.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties for a team of operation staff.
• Efficiently Operate production copying machines and other mail equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested.
Operational Needs:
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Class D Driver’s License issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Ability to bend, lift, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)* and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:
Two years of offset printing equipment operating experience
OR Current New York State Employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position as allocated to a Grade 07 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
