Duties Description The successful applicant will be Director of the Emotional Brain Institute (EBI) which conducts neurodevelopmental animal research on early brain development and emotional function. The applicant will supervise six independent investigators who constitute the EBI. In addition to providing mentorship, the applicant will be responsible for completing annual reviews and for documenting time and attendance for supervisees. The applicant will be expected to publish scientific papers and successfully compete for federal grants. The applicant will represent the EBI in relevant institutional meetings and will report to the Deputy Director.
Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. and seven years of professional research experience in an appropriate field.
Preferred:
History of publications and federal grant support in the area of psychiatric neurodevelopment.
At least one year of experience supervising other independent investigators
Experience in breeding and genotyping of laboratory animals

This position is eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $4,000.
