BASIC FUNCTION:
The Data Analytics & CRM Manager will play a critical role in advancing economic growth by leveraging data and technology to identify, engage, and empower New York Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SEDI) businesses. They will be a data-savvy problem solver with strong CRM expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for equity and economic development. They will lead the management and analysis of the SEDI business database, track metrics, and provide strategic reporting that informs program development and stakeholder engagement. This role serves as the subject matter expert on data enrichment and data quality standards and is responsible for ensuring clean, reliable, and well-structured data to support the needs of GO-SEMI operations.

WORK PERFORMED:
• In partnership with the IT team, lead efforts to add new features or enhance existing capabilities of the database.
• Spearhead the development and on-going management of the database of all current and potential SEDI businesses (inclusive of all currently qualifying businesses, and any potentially qualifying businesses).
• Develop and deploy data deduplication, validation and quality control strategies.
• Ensure that the database provides streamlined way of accurately collecting up-to-date customer information, including contact details, capability statements, business interests, as well as resource needs.
• Assist GO-SEMI team members in utilizing the CRM to capture interactions with customers and aligning the program strategies with the CRM data.
• Track program KPIs and deliver reports that capture SEDI commitments, spending, and Good Faith Effort (GFE) contributions by partner entities such as Micron.
• Develop ad hoc reports and dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, to support business needs.
• Work with other business units to communicate programmatic updates to SEDI businesses.
• Serve as the point person for CRM systems used to communicate and manage relationships with SEDI businesses and partners, ensuring effective engagement.
• Assist with developing curated lists and organizing outreach campaigns.
• Represent GO-SEMI by participating on panels or attending events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, business or economic development, or a related field.

Relevant Experience Required: 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in data management, data analytics, or program data reporting. Strong analytical skills in business metric evaluation, pattern recognition, and problem-solving to drive strategic decision-making.

Knowledge Required: Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI / Tableau), and relational databases (SQL). Experience managing large database with a focus on reporting and data quality. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable and reportable insights. High understanding of data governance, deduplication and enrichment best practices. Strong interpersonal skills to support cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience with SQL, python a plus.
