Duties Description Bronx Psychiatric Center is recruiting an Administrative Specialist 1 will be assigned to the facility's Quality Management Department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Collecting data, analyze data, and prepare reports and other documents.
• Developing and analyzing the staff, patient, and family satisfaction survey.
• Organizing and preparing mock survey forms incorporating new tools to capture data on health equity.
• Participating in mock surveys preparing for Joint Commission and IOC surveys. Tracking citations and identifying trends or areas of concern and working with leadership to address the concerns.
• Evaluating policies, procedures, and program, and working with department heads to review and update policies ensuring that they meet facility, agency, and the Joint Commission standards.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as an Administrative Specialist 1 if they have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional experience providing administrative and staff support to executives, program managers and staff, boards, or commissions by overseeing budget, human resources, and business services activities for an organization or program.
Substitution: Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.
OR
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Administrative Specialist Trainee 1 if they have a bachelor’s degree.
To be advanced to the full performance level, Administrative Specialist 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.
OR
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Administrative Specialist Trainee 2 if they have a bachelor’s degree and 1 of professional experience providing administrative and staff support to executives, program managers and staff, boards, or commissions by overseeing budget, human resources, and business services activities for an organization or program.

Appointment from this eligible list would be as an Administrative Specialist 1 Trainee and to be advanced to the full performance level, Administrative Specialist 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.
OR
Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible list. Appointment from this eligible list would be as a Administrative Specialist Trainee 1 and to be advanced to the full performance level, Administrative Specialist 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.
OR
Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Salary range listed encompasses the hiring rate of an Administrative Specialist Trainee 1 (SG-NS) through the job rate of an Administrative Specialist 1 (SG-18).

This position is eligible for a Down State adjustment of $4,000.
