Duties Description The Senior Assistant Building Superintendent works under the supervision of the
Deputy Building Superintendent and is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the Court of Appeals building and grounds and for security in the Court of Appeals. The Senior Assistant Building Superintendent performs repairs and maintenance tasks, provides guidance and supervision to subordinate employees on maintenance staff, and performs other related duties.

Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising subordinate staff in maintenance and repair techniques and inspecting their work; performing repairs of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment; making carpentry, masonry, plastering and painting repairs; moving office furniture, equipment, and other items; and performing grounds-keeping and snow removal.

Minimum Qualifications Successful completion of the twelfth grade or the equivalent; and Three years of experience in painting, plastering, and carpentry work; or An equivalent combination of education or experience.

Note: Must possess a valid New York State driver's license.
