Duties Description The RNS1 is responsible for clinical and administrative supervision of RNs and LPNs, as well as oversight and coordination of nursing areas within their assigned area. Although there are no other RNS1s in the Hudson Valley district, this person is unique, as their assigned coverage will be in a needed and high demand area of Rockland County. This person will have a key role in supporting the opening of the CATH (Comprehensive Adult Transition Homes) and overseeing the nursing care that will be delivered to high needs and complex individuals supported in these homes. This RNS1 will allow for other RN1s to lessen their caseload and to overall assist the nursing supervisors to better perform their job duties.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the RN1s and LPNs with oversight of this growing staff.
• Maintains expert current knowledge of nursing policies, processes, standards, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Provides consultation and assistance to the residential teams to properly apply those standards to improve service delivery outcomes.
• Provides training and technical assistance when necessary.
• Assists in developing SOPs, in accordance with regulatory and policy standards.
• Provides ongoing monitoring of service delivery documentation.
• May be asked to cover Day Program Sites.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision.
• Evaluates program needs, processes, effectiveness, trends, and outcomes.
• Provides coverage for Orange and Rockland counties of the Hudson Valley.
• May be trained to provide CPR training and certification to providers and sub-providers.
• Other duties as assigned.
