Qualifications for each seasonal position are based on operating needs and vary based on the assigned work location and job title.

Duties Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of park management, the selected candidate’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
• Performing daily maintenance activities to maintain buildings and grounds and ensure a safe and attractive environment for patrons and employees.
• Cleaning restrooms, cutting grass and trimming weeds, painting, and garbage and litter removal.
• Performing routine buildings and grounds maintenance using a variety of power-driven mechanical equipment, such as lawn mowers and line trimmers.
• Ensuring that all required safety equipment is used and that safety procedures are followed.
• Assisting in other areas of park operations as needed.


OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Previous experience performing facility and operations work in a park or related setting is preferred, but not required.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
• Must participate in and complete training programs as instructed.
• Must have the ability to supervise other employees.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff and with park patrons.
• Must have to read and comprehend written material.
