Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of experience in designing and manufacturing assistive technology devices for individuals with disabilities, or two years of full performance level experience in carpentry or a related trade, one year of which must have been in the designing and manufacturing of assistive technology devices for individuals with disabilities.

Duties Description •Will work collaboratively with the Physical and Occupational Therapy Departments when a completed clinical assessment indicates the need for equipment. Once the equipment is identified, will either design and fabricate the equipment or assist the PT/OT in procuring prefabricated equipment to meet the identified need. Will assist with the delivery and installation of assistive technology devices.
•Will assist the PT/OT departments with staff training on assistive technology devices.
•Will complete and document bed inspections in EHR per local DDSO policy. Will complete any necessary modifications or accessory installations needed to bring the bed to compliance.
•Will maintain an adaptive equipment workshop, back up equipment (including mechanical lifts), and safety items.
•Daily travel throughout the DDSO will be required.
