Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the NY Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). Must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma issued by an appropriate educational authority and;
Either
1) One year of experience assisting with the filling of medical prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
2) A current pharmacy technician certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Or
3) A certificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.

Duties Description Assist a licensed Pharmacist int he preparation of medications for dispensing, and administrative tasks in support of a pharmacy operation. Receive and inventory pharmaceutical supplies; assist in preparing pharmaceutical orders; maintain reports and logs, and enter data into pharmacy systems; and maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment within the pharmacy.
