Minimum Qualifications Qualifications
• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in environmental sciences, biology, environmental engineering, landscape architecture, or similar discipline.
Overview
• The Restoration Monitoring Intern will monitor restoration projects with and without assistance from Parks staff. The position is based in DeVeaux Woods State Park; however, restoration projects to monitor are located throughout the Niagara Region.
• Interns typically work 10-20 hours per week during the semester and 20-40 hours per week during the summer.
Duties Description Job Duties
• Review existing monitoring programs used in New York State and across the Great Lakes.
• Review restoration project goals and plans to determine monitoring needs and relevant monitoring programs.
• Conduct monitoring programs at various restoration projects to collect data on current project conditions and assess the effectiveness of each monitoring program.
• Attend meetings with Parks staff and other New York State agencies.
• A final report on work completed during the internship.

Compensation: $17.15 - $22.75 per hour
Duration: May/June - August 2024 (Summer)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4 pm (flexible)
