Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree is required for the position.
Strong technology skills are preferred, including using Excel to manage data sets, conducting strategic internet searches, and using presentation software such as PowerPoint.
Additionally, the individual selected for the LSA position must have excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
The ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of information, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy are also required.
The ideal candidate will have experience researching and analyzing documents and possess a demonstrated interest in the law and investigations.
Finally, applicants who are available to work in this position for at least two (2) years are preferred

Duties Description Apply investigative data gathering and evaluating techniques to investigate allegations of fraud, abuse, and/or criminality, including, but not limited to searching internal MTA agency records and databases, personnel, contract, and procurement data sources; open source public data, including official court and government records, proprietary subscription services, the Internet, and all social media platforms.
Collect, analyze, and organize large amounts of financial and investigative documents and data for investigators and attorneys.
Be adept and creative in the use of search engines and social media platforms, including gathering information concerning potential misconduct by MTA employees, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other individuals.
Conduct targeted research of MTA agency employees, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and consultants, including uncovering financial assets.
Perform substantive inquiries, accurately analyzing and synthesizing large and complex datasets to identify familial relationships and other links between entities and individuals.
Prepare written and oral analytical and statistical briefings, charts, and reports.
Identify and locate potential sources of relevant information, including searching for information sources, techniques, and agency contacts that facilitate the collection of intelligence information.
Organize case files and provide support, including drafting subpoenas and processing documents.
Assist with other tasks and assignments as needed.
Pursuant to authorization by the EDIG Legal, this position is eligible for tele-working according to office policies.
