Job Specifics

Duties Description The Project Assistants will assist senior project coordinators and team members in understanding project goals, objectives, and requirements for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Support research and analysis efforts to identify potential challenges and risks related to the EHR implementation and help develop strategies under the guidance of senior staff.
• Aid in the creation finalized detailed requirements, solution development, test plan, test scripts, test data, user acceptance testing, and refinement of training materials and programs for end users, ensuring they are user-friendly and aligned with project objectives.
• Provide support to end users by addressing questions and concerns about the EHR system while learning to troubleshoot issues and offer guidance on system usage.
• Collaborate with the project team to gather user feedback and suggest improvements to the EHR system, with supervision from senior project members.
• Assist in coordinating and facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
• Help monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on key performance indicators to project leadership as directed by senior staff, noting any deviations from the project plan.
• Work alongside technical teams to support the integration of the EHR system with existing healthcare systems and infrastructure, following guidance from more experienced staff.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to EHR implementation, applying this knowledge to support project success.
• Assist in maintaining project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and user manuals, under the supervision of senior project members.
• Build positive relationships with hospital-based clinical and administrative staff to ensure their engagement throughout the implementation process.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including testing and validation of the EHR system, to ensure it meets accuracy and compliance standards with support from senior staff.

Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree AND three years of specialized experience* as described below, OR an associate degree AND five years of specialized experience OR seven years of *specialized work experience.

*Specialized experience must have been where your duties involved work utilizing the following skills:

Experience in one or a combination of the following areas: Application Development, Business System Analysis, IT Project Management, Database Management, Contract and Procurement Management, Information Security Management, Vendor Management and/or Customer Relations in an Information Technology Environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the procurement, development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and/or support of Electronic Health Systems.
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
• Advanced SQL development using PL/SQL in enterprise Oracle platforms.
• Familiarity with federal health interoperability standards and code sets (USCDI, SNOMED, LOINC)
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret context diagrams.
• Experience in analyzing data for the purpose of identifying and resolving transaction / transmission errors.
• Verifiable experience performing clear and complete record keeping and task tracking for large healthcare and/or IT project using desktop and/or Office 365-based toolsets.
• Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Demonstrated able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
