Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications The candidate for this position will serve as a supervisor in the areas of child welfare; this includes overseeing the development of policies and manuals for federal and state legislative compliance pertaining to Foster Care, including Adolescents, Juvenile Justice, Child Preventive, and Permanency. In addition, this position requires strong writing skills, effective communication skill and a vast knowledge of Foster Care, eligibility and CONNECTIONS.
Supervise four staff consisting of Children and Family Services Specialists.
Apply in-depth knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing agency programs.
Ensure that procedures, policies and information sharing address State and Federal requirements.
Provide administrative leadership for a unit or program by managing various fiscal, personnel, policy/procedure development and other administrative functions.
Develop standards for program evaluation and strategies, as well as supervision and guidance of unit activities and staff.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Duties Description One year of permanent competitive service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 3 or eligible for a 70.1 transfer.
Additional Comments Travel is required 20% of the time.
