Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture, marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology, marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.
Duties Description Under the supervision of a biologist or technician, these seasonal positions will conduct angler interview surveys on the Delaware River tailwaters. This will entail a series of angler count runs, as well as face-to-face angler interviews. Weekend and holiday work will be required. Must be able to identify fish species. Must be able to work in a variety of inclement weather conditions and difficult terrain is possible. Candidate must effectively interact and communicate with the public and other members of the team. Experience with Excel is preferred. Providing high quality customer service is required.
Additional Comments Must have valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and/or work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required.
