Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as a Training Specialist 1
eligible for transfer pursuant to Section 52.6 or Section 70.1of the Civil Service Law;
OR
One year of permanent competitive service as an Assistant Training Technician (YS);
OR
Eligible for Section 70.4 Transfer.*
*70.4 Transfer: If you are a State employee with at least one year of permanent competitive service in a title Grade 11 or higher and have a passing score on the PCO or the PATT lists, you may be eligible for appointment to a traineeship leading to the Grade 18.
Duties Description Assist with developing and implementing training contracts that provide
training to LDSS, voluntary agencies, and day care providers.
Participate with agency and LDSS staff in conducting training needs
assessments.
Collaborate with agency staff and/or other human services agencies
and training vendors to revise existing training programs and monitor
effectiveness.
Administrative duties such as editing the Bureau's policy manuals and forms, developing task related user manuals, and participating in special projects.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Additional Comments Occasional travel will be required. Approximately 5-10%, based on regional need. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5pm.
