Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must be reachable for appointment on a present, permanent Civil Service eligible list for University Police Officer I, have previously held the permanent title of University Police Officer I or be eligible for transfer to this title.
Prior to appointment candidates must:
Meet established physical and medical requirements
Satisfy all SUNY University Police requirements
Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted New York State motor vehicle operators license
Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm and maintain all requirements for certification as a police officer in New York State

Promotion Requirements: One year of service as a Campus Public Safety Officer and completion of 60 semester credit hours of college study.
