Job Specifics

Duties Description Under the direction of the Information Technology Specialist 4, SG-25, the Information Technology Specialist 3 Programming, SG-23, is a core technical role within the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), Communications Team and they are responsible for building, configuring, and supporting NY-integrations and shared services for the ComX phone team. This role will be delivering new and innovative products that adhere to the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) policy and requirements. This role is highly technical and requires a deep knowledge of the technologies involved.

Specific duties shall include but are not limited to:

•Collaborate with Customers, Product Managers, and engineers to refine requirements into technical tasks, and develop solutions that are repeatable and reusable as products.
•Build and enhance current and new product and integration capabilities through configuration, integration, and custom development aligned to engineering standards and patterns.
•Implement and support APIs, data integrations, and modern AI features required for shared services.
•Contribute to automated testing and delivery workflows; participate in code review and documentation.
•Support deployment and troubleshooting activities across environments; assist in resolving defects and operational issues.
•Maintain clear technical documentation and implementation notes to support continuity across squads.
•Assist and contribute to the build out of the new ContactNY contact center platform

Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.
