Job Specifics
Duties Description Under the general direction of a Public Information Specialist 2 Digital Content:
·Updates content on the OPWDD website.
·Updates content on the OPWDD Intranet.
·Creates content for OPWDD social media platforms, helping bring awareness to OPWDD services, initiatives, programs, jobs and more.
·Creates video and graphic content for social media and website.
·Ensures content on the website is accessible.
·Works with the Digital Information Office and other colleagues on identifying, planning, and executing effective content and strategies that accomplish overall communication goals.
·Has an understanding of Plain Language content and an ability to take complex information and simplify it.
·Tracks the performance of digital content including social media, email, and website.
·Manages comments and messages received on social media platforms.
·Have a general passion for all things social and a keen ability to stay up-to-date with online cultural moments and behaviors.
·Have a good understanding of content management software such as Drupal and Sharepoint or very technology savvy and a quick learner.
·Understands how to make documents accessible and has experience using accessibility software.
·Assist in developing OPWDD messages on GovDelivery.
·Perform other related duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: six years of experience in public relations, social media, and digital communications. Associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, substitutes for two, four, or five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Knowledge of document accessibility and the federal WCAG requirements.
·Proficiency with Drupal and Sharepoint
·Ability to use SiteImprove to analyze website accessibility
Additional Comments • The assignment of PS&T employees will be made in accordance with any agreed upon Memorandum of Understanding between PEF and the local DDSO regarding the posting of job vacancies.

° Up to three (3) days professional leave each year to participate in professional development events.

• Paid Parental Leave:
Paid Parental Leave allows eligible employees to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave at full pay for each qualifying event. A qualifying event is defined as the birth of a child or placement of a child for adoption or foster care.
