Job Specifics

Duties Description The New York State Senate Personnel Office is seeking applications for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The professional for this Administrative Clerk role will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for all visitors and employees alike, both in person and over the phone.

In this dynamic role, you will:

•Provide administrative support to office staff and management
•Answer, screen, and direct all incoming phone calls
•Interact with visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them accordingly
•Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail

Minimum Qualifications To be considered, you must:

•Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Be proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office
•Have the ability to work well with a variety of people and situations
•Thrive working in a fast-paced environment
•Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
•Be comfortable handling numerous incoming calls simultaneously
•Have demonstrated skills in greeting visitors courteously and professionally
•Have a high school diploma or higher

Additional Comments Salary range is $40,000 to $45,000, commensurate with experience.
