Job Specifics

Duties Description Complete sealing orders received from the courts in accordance with State Police procedures.

Process FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) requests in compliance with
agency guidelines.

Maintain long-term files in accordance with retention policies and State Police procedures.

Respond to inquiries from the public and courts regarding State Police records via mail, phone, and in-person.

Liaise with the Thruway Authority regarding lost/found property.

Perform a variety of general office support duties, including data entry, document preparation, and filing.

Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing software to complete clerical tasks and maintain records.

Assist the Office Assistant 3 with procurement of supplies and manage inventory for the Troop.

Support reconciliation of invoices and P-Card purchases for both Division and the Thruway Authority on a weekly and monthly basis.

Process travel voucher claims and enter them into the Statewide Financial System (SFS).

Assist with bi-weekly timekeeper entries for the Troop's Station Cleaners.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the First Sergeant.

Assigned member will report directly to the Office Assistant 3.

Minimum Qualifications One year in a Salary Grade 6 position or higher,

OR

High School Diploma and one year of experience in an administrative support role, which includes use of office software (e.g., email, word processing), provision of customer service, business writing, and/or management of an office.

Minimum qualifications must be met by the closing date of the posting.
