Job Specifics

Duties Description Under the direction of a Conservation Operations Supervisor 2, the selected candidates will perform routine maintenance tasks at assigned seasonal campgrounds. Tasks will encompass all trades(plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment operation) at a journeyman's level. Candidates will participate in infrastructure rehabilitation including building construction and reconstruction, installation of buried utilities, sewer lift station maintenance, water system chlorination maintenance and daily tracking per Dept. of Health standards during the open camping season, and hazardous tree cutting. Candidates will function as a field supervisor assigned to 2 seasonal campgrounds and aide in facilitating collation of weekly Recreation paperwork and guidance manual compliance. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled trades-person which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services

Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.

Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.

Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.

Must be available for emergency response.
Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Must have certification to operate motorized boats or personal watercrafts at time of appointment.
