Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or higher degree and two years of professional administrative experience in a health-related facility
Selection Criteria:
Working knowledge of civil and Criminal Legal Admission Statuses as related to OPWDD
Good Organizational skills

Good Writing skills
Review of personal history file
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepare and process supportive documents for court proceedings handled by the Attorney General’s Office.
-Attempts to secure supportive documentation from the sending DDRO regarding schools, legal entities and other agencies for use in court retention proceedings.
-interfaces with OPWDDs Counsel’s office, the Attorney General’s office, Bureau of Intensive Treatment Services and Mental Hygiene Legal Services Office.
-Provide training and technical assistance to the teams on legal matters as needed/requested
-Conducts processing, notification and tracking of all legal matters and deadlines is a critical function of this position. Maintains and codifies policies rules and regulations and COURT DECISIONS that affect operations of the facility.
-Acts as a management consultant to the chiefs and depts. in interpreting documentation/legal records to ensure compliance.
-Provides advice, consultations and interpretation to a wide variety of clinical staff regarding legal processing issues
-Initiates, creates and maintain a variety of databases, reports, tracking and related to Legal correspondence, legal proceedings.
-Prepares and processes court documents for a variety of legal statuses, ensure appropriate timelines and deadlines are met according to statutes e.g. 730, 330. and involuntary court retention.
-Assess and organize for all legal admissions and discharges.
