Minimum Qualifications Permanent transfer candidates: Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator (G18); OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6, Section 70.1, or Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to a Health Program Administrator (G18), Health Program Administrator Trainee 1 (NS), or Health Program Administrator Trainee 2 (NS). QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of public health programs. Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments; some knowledge of federal and state regulations with regards to compliance and; ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel applications. Understanding of database and spreadsheets as well as other computer software applications.
Duties Description As a Health Program Administrator in MARO BSI, you will be working in a team environment. Duties may include supervising investigative staff by assigning cases,reviewing reports, tracking the status of investigations, providing training and technical
assistance, and evaluating staff performance as well as supervising administrative support staff. Duties may include analyzing, tracking, and reporting on program activities.
Additional Comments Permanent, full-time. Occasional travel, including overnights and travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation is required.
