Minimum Qualifications STATE EMPLOYEE TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT:
Current New York State employee with one year or more permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Business Systems Analyst 1; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 13 and above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6, 70.1 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.

Successful completion of two year traineeship leads to appointment as a Business Systems Analyst 1, SG-18.

Duties Description The Business Systems Analyst 1 (BSA 1) will work closely with program staff and other stakeholders and be responsible for the planning, researching, and documenting of various OGS Procurement Services (PS) business processes and the health of statewide technology platforms used throughout PS. The BSA 1 will be part of the project operations team responsible for managing the NYS eMarketplace, PS interactions with the Statewide Financial System, and assisting with identified information technology projects.

Responsibilities include:
• Define and develop project requirements.
• Develop test data and scenarios.
• Test system functions and document results.
• Document business process deficiencies that require resolution during project development or during or after implementation.
