Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Fish and Wildlife Technician 1 position which are as follows: 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries; marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.

Duties Description Duties include work on Black Skimmer project including but not limited to Stewardship, monitoring and outreach; conducting Productivity Surveys using both traditional and modern survey methods for annual quantification of nests, hatchlings and fledglings; habitat mapping with GIS; gather analyze and map existing fisheries abundance and distribution data; band black skimmer nestlings at various locations; assist regional biologist on select tasks associated with the development, drafting and implementation of the regional conservation action plan (ReCAP).

Additional Comments Must have valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Seasonal appointment ends no later than 03/31/2018.
