Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be physically able to perform the duties assigned, including ability to perform activities requiring medium to heavy lifting. Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license in required.

Preferred qualifications: Experience with use of basic hand tools, hand trucks, and other assistive devices to complete tasks. Basic knowledge of fire safety activities.

Duties Description This position performs a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy effort to assist in maintaining and repairing furniture and facilities. Duties including but not limited to:

• Sets up and removes furniture, partitions, and equipment for office moves, conferences, meetings and special events at all MARO work sites.
• May install or hang clocks, shelving and office furniture.
• Assembles modular furniture based on blueprints or schematics.
• Small repair and environmental improvement projects.
• Picks up and delivers supplies and equipment.
• Moves items to and from storerooms. May maintain storage areas.
• Delivers forms and supplies to various offices.
• Assists in the shipping and receiving of various office materials.
• Duties may require travel to any or all MARO work locations.

Additional Comments Permanent, full-time, labor class appointment. Occasional travel within MARO catchment area is required, including travel to some areas not served by public transportation. Candidates considered for this position will be required to possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter.
